Exhaust Insulation
The Thermolastic wrap is applied in layers according to the temperatures involved normally 3 layers. For higher temperatures it is recommended that at least one plain insulation layer (knitted E- Glass without reflective film) is applied against the hot face with the reflective layers applied later.
Thermoshield
The cloth is corrosion resistant, can withstand higher temperatures and can handle large multi-plane movements caused by thermal stresses. Expansion Joints using this material have been successfully used in Power Generating Plants, Smelters, refineries, flue gas ducts, wet and dry scrubbers, chemical plants, precipitations, bag-houses and fans.
Thermoshield has been shown to outlast conventional Expansion Joints materials while offering excellent cost/performance benefits over the life of the Expansion Joints.
Thermoboard
Thermoboard experiences mechanical weakness in the temperature range of 200°C to 350°C.
This is a result of the chemical reaction in the binders. The thermal characteristics are not affected. The binders solidify in this range and the board retains mechanical strength above this temperature level. Users are advised that the Thermoboard should not be exposed to continuous operating temperatures in this range without mechanical support.
