Construction: The two major types of flexible seals are braided and wrapped. In general, braiding provides greater longevity and sealing performance. However, there are applications where a wrapped Thermoseal, properly designed and manufactured, can provide superior performance. Braiding involves securing outer jackets onto an inner core.
