Heat Insulation

  • CONSTRUCTION: Rope Lagging consists of low density glass fibres supported by ceramic fibres and enclosed in a braided glass yarn. GENERAL Non asbestos rope lagging is efficient in insulating pipework and is suitable for variety of high temperature sealing and caulking applications.  The rope lagging is of consistent diameter and displays good tensile strength. The basic fibres are inorganic, sterile incombustible The product exhibits low thermal conductivity The product is suitable for temperatures up to excursions of 600°C. The product has good weathering properties No asbestos fibres present in this product.
  • BASIC COMPOSITION:  ALUMINO- SILICA BRAIDED YARNS AROUND CORE SHAPE: ROUND DIMENSIONS:  30mm DIAMETER and 30m long DENSITY:  500 to 510 kg/m³ REINFORCEMENT: THERMOGLASS CORE IN YARN CENTRE CARRIER:  Viscose fibre (20%) in mix PRODUCT NUMBER: 726-71-300-000-0 OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 600°C depending on the exact application FINISH LOOMSTATE APPLICATIONS Suitable for sealing at high temperatures in doors, lids and flaps. GENERAL  Thermoceram braided ropes exhibit chemical stability resisting attack from most corrosive agents. Exceptions are hydrofluoric acids and phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalis. It also resists oxidation and reductions. If wet by water or steam, its thermal properties are resorted upon drying. No water of hydration is present.
  • PRODUCT:  CERAMIC ROUND BRAIDED REINFORCEMENT:  STAINLESS STEEL WIRE DIAMETERS: FROM 12mm to 50mm CONSTRUCTION: Increasing ends of ceramic yarn 560x2 with  stainless steel wire reinforcing braided into a round rope of even diameter  LENGTH OF ROLL:  For 12mm to 19mm : 50m For 25mm and above : 30m OPERATING TEMPERATURE: 950°C depending on the exact application. The material will withstand brief excursion temperatures depending on conditions. FINISH LOOMSTATE YARN CHEMICAL COMPOSITIONS: SiO₂- 50% to 52% Al₂O₃- 47% to 49% TiO₂, Fe₂O₃, Mgo, Na₂O- Remainder GENERAL Ceramic fibre products are made from a melting Of aluminium oxide and silica. The resultant Fibres are white, cotton like in appearance and show a high thermal stability, low conductivity  of heat and good chemical resistance. As pure ceramic staple fibre cannot be processed to textile products, organic fibres  are added as a spinning aid. The organic share Of cloth, tapes and ropes is between 15% and 20% These organic fibres will burn off on first thermal Contact and will result in an ignition loss up to 15%

  • General Thermoceramic Paper - Ceramic fibre is made from a mixture of silicone dioxide (SiO₂) and aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃), both in a very pure form which is melted in a furnace. This molten mass is then converted into a fibre. The filament diameters average 3 microns. For the production of yarn mixing the ceramic fibres with an organic fibre is necessary (viscose/ rayon). The yarn can be reinforced with glass (borosilcate E-Glass continuous filaments)/ cotton or metal cores.
  • REINFORCEMENT: Stainless Steel Wire DIAMETERS FROM: 8mm to 50mm CONSTRUCTION: Increasing ends of ceramic yarn 560x2 with stainless steel wire reinforcing braided into a square braided packing.
